Winter has come and all is well

Three inches of snow in Iowa yesterday, we are snuggled in for a few months,The sandhill cranes have been going south for about 3 weeks ,singing there song about staying in Florida for th winter.. Still working on the airstream, found a  guy on cregslist selling airstream parts reasonable prices. hes saving me his next screen door ,  yeaaaaaaa !!!!!  Ginnie spring has went into winter mode and theres not many people here infact its almost just us in a 250 acre forest along the Santa Fe River.. Me and Julie Walked down to ginnie tonight  and watched the fish and a few small turtles, it was very beautiful.... sometime this month we are going to swim with the manatees that gather in the different springs along the gulf side, will take pics  heres some pics for you thanks for checking on us ......

Ginnie Springs Florida

Hey we have been here for about 5 days, leveled the camper, set up camp and the best part is went and explored the Santa Fe River it was beautifull, the fall colors were just coming on, and the river was teaming with life. They have bass here called the swanee bass, they  get about 2 to 3 pounds , just need one for supper . Took some pictures of the river and a spider called the banana spider ,hes considered the most venomus spider in the world. We will be her 2 to 3 months, sounds good but a long time in one spot ,Julie will be good with that and me to if I can keep busy iam going to start water coloring painting again and working on a blog about the gray fox of Gennie Springs.

Ebb Tide

The tide between the high tide and low tide when the water is leaving the shore. This is what I feel like leaving this beautifull Island. We will return here some day soon .until then a piece of our hearts will be gone.

Tybee Island Georgia

Tybee Island is a very cool place ,the ocean is forever, the sand is white. We went for a walk out on the fishing peer,  the poor souls were feeding the fish, and had nothing to show for it.  The beach and the birds were spectacular.  It had been years sense I spent the day at a beach We had a great time...

Homer Georgia

In my college days made a good good friend Mike Sands. We hunted and fished and had some beer and all those good things you do when you are young,  and like life deals you new hands people come and people go and you think about them from time to time and you just go on. A year ago met up with Mike's folks and they gave me his #.  What a good talk that was. And we hashed out what was going on and what was new  and how he had found the love of his life Weyna, what a sweatheart, good for you Mike. Very few men get that lucky... good to have you back in my life. We crippled into Mikes  a couple of weeks ago and fixed some things on the airstraem yeaaaaaa. Thanks for all your help you guys and the warm bed and letting us feel what southern hospitality really is .... these are some pictures of Mikes acreage.......................

Skidaway Island

What a great day the weather was  great 70 degrees, julie and i went for a 3 mile walk after we broke camp.seen deer and birds and mushrooms how fun , the trail also went to the intercoastal water way , and the tide was out and the fiddler crabs were every where....We will miss this place and most of all the friends we made here thanks for the new friendships...  what awsome people
